Christmas joy comes to PÅkeno
We're bringing Christmas joy to a slice of Waikato. Nestled at 19B Leathem Crescent, you'll see lights timed to music, singing faces, and lots more traditional lights!
The show runs from the 1st to 31st of December every year, from 8:30pm to 10:30pm.

FAQ
10,211 smart LEDs, plus a large number of traditional Christmas lights. That's a lot of lights!
Our lights are "seed" pixels connected to controllers running WLED. We also use regular Christmas lights for static displays.
We use xLights to sequence the songs and Falcon Player (FPP) to run the show. Other parts of the display, such as the bubble and snow machines, as well as scheduling, are handled by Home Assistant.
Lots! We work on and off throughout out the year to sequence songs and put props together.
We started doing Christmas displays in 2019, and began sequencing to music in 2023.
Most of our props are 3D printed at home, with other props hand-made from various materials.
